One Bowl Brownies

Food Fact

Planting GMO crops, like the canola oil used in so many if our favorite foods, has allowed farmers to reduce carbon-dioxide emissions by nearly 28 billion tons. That’s equal to removing 12.4 million cars from the road for an entire year.

Servings: 1 pan

Total Time: 35 mins

Results and timings may vary when adjusting servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup canola or vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Mix all ingredients together except chocolate chips. Spread in a greased 9×13 pan and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.

  3. Bake for 30 minutes with a check after 20 mins. or until a toothpick is inserted and comes out almost clean.

  4. Let cool completely before cutting and serving.

  5. Notes
Be careful not to overbake these. A slightly underdone brownie makes for an extra fudgy one.
